Email hello@mywattcost.com. This is a calculator, not a service desk. There is no account to recover and no order to track, so the messages worth sending are corrections, gaps, and questions about how a number was reached.

Before you write

Most figures that look wrong at first are a wattage disagreement, and you can settle those yourself. Every result exposes the three inputs that produced it — wattage, duty cycle and price — and all three are adjustable. If our default draw does not match the label on your own appliance, type in yours and the answer updates; that is the product working as intended, not an error. The methodology shows the exact formula and the sources name where every price comes from.

Reporting an error

This is the message we most want to receive, because the whole product rests on the numbers being defensible. Include the page, the figure you think is wrong, and the source you are comparing it against — and, for an appliance, the wattage printed on your own label, since that is the fastest way to tell a genuine mistake from a difference between models. Corrections are dated and recorded in the document they affect rather than quietly edited, and the methodology is updated when the error was systematic rather than a one-off.

Requesting an appliance

We add an appliance when we can state a defensible wattage range and explain where it comes from. If there is something missing you would use, say so and tell us the model you have in mind.

What we cannot help with

We cannot advise on your specific utility bill, dispute a charge with your provider, or diagnose a faulty appliance. For a billing question, your utility is the only authority; for a fault, an electrician.
